  SxSW 2006 & The Aussie Assault - Part 5 By: Roocast Day 4 brings the official Aussie BBQ, the centre piece of the Aussie Assault. The Aussie BBQ sees 11 of the 25+ Australian bands performing 30 minute showcases to key delegates. Delegates are encouraged to stay at the BBQ with food and drink incentives (supplied by sponsors). Bands playing include: Dappled Cities Fly, The Lovetones, The Gear, Kisschasy, Decoder Ring, Love of Diagrams and the Flairz. In conjunction with the Music Managers Forum and VIC Music, the organisers of SxSW held a 'roadshow' at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne in early August. The evening was a six month 'heads up' to artists, managers, labels and music business professionals who either plan to attend SxSW March 14-18 2007 or bands who wish to apply to showcase at the event.
