Congratulations to Melbourne band The Drones on winning The Australian Music Prize 2005. The band will put the $25,000 cheque to good use for things like food and new gear.
The Drones will be touring Australia and overseas in 2006. The winning album "Wait Long By The River and The Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By" can be found in local Australian shops or purchased online.
The Drones are: Gareth Liddiard, Michael Noga, Rui Pereira, and Fiona Kitschin. Roocast sends the band congratulations and a big fat pizza.
